Andrew Cowan [15 September 2008]

Phillip

Can you tell me what information you have on Andrew Cowan in Sullivan County, TN, and why you believe James Cowan is his son? Q 14:42, 15 September 2008 (EDT)

Capt Thomas Lee [4 December 2009]

I have been doing more research on Capt. Thomas Lee. I think researchers generally agree that there were two Capt. Thomas Lee's. There was a Thomas from Virginia who is probably related to Robert E. Lee family of Virginia. There is my Capt. Thomas who is related to John Lee, Esquire, of North Carolina. This has been proved by DNA testing. The researchers still are not in agreement re John Lee's father and mother. Deeds and wills found prove beyond any doubt that Capt. Thomas Lee of Hawkins TN was the son of John Lee Esquire of Johnson, N.C. The Ditchley location seems to be connected with the Lee's of Virginia. There is a website of Lee researchers who are working on this family of John Lee, Esq. The other Lee's seem to be pretty well documented. Would you be okay in changing some of the info re Capt. Thomas Lee and John Lee?--Suzyq 18:59, 4 December 2009 (EST)

Capt. Thomas Lee [31 December 2009]

I think there were two Capt. Thomas Lee's. One is from the Robert E. Lee line from Ditchley, Va. and the other Capt. Thomas Lee is from the John Lee Esquire line. There is a website called LeeHouse which has a lot of Lee researchers who have evidence that this Thomas Lee is different from the other Thomas Lee. I think we need to take references to Ditchley off his profile page. Advise.--Suzyq 15:45, 31 December 2009 (EST)
