I am an "OldOntarian" (that's what I call myself in Wikipedia); I have family under gravestones in Bruce County and some distant cousins still alive and family historians; but I don't really know the county. So many changes throughout Ontario since the 1970s--family historians from afar have to be kept in both the present and the past pictures. Please do feel free to make other corrections of this type. Wikipedia tends to forget that changes were made and only reports the present. Not always useful for genealogists. Regards (Pat) --Goldenoldie 05:59, 1 April 2015 (UTC) Goldenoldie, you are welcome. I find weRelate a bit confusing to navigate, but if I did OK, can I add some information on Glammis, ON? I was the editor for a 279 page book (ISBN 978-0-9812322-8-7) on the hamlet and I own the website glammis.ca.--John-ON 11:02, 1 April 2015 (UTC) Can I ask for advice. When I made the changes to include Saugeen and Elderslie Townships, it refused to save them because it said that "Links to other websites are not allowed". I did not put in an URL, but there was one to www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~onbcgs/bcgshist.htm. I removed it to allow saving. How could I resore that URL to the Dunblane listing? (in particular, the page www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~onbcgs/bcgstwpsaugeen.htm: has a picture of the Dunblane church.)--John-ON 11:14, 1 April 2015 (UTC) |
