I've been in my busiest season of work and haven't been back to the werelate page in a month or so... I'm so sorry to have missed you during your visit to Maine, as i have many Stevens related questions. Whatever changes you make to the Stevens pages are fine - because this is a wiki, we don't "own" the person pages the same way you do on Ancestry. I found that there are some dilemmas in uploading an Ancestry gedcom to WeRelate, because so often my only documented source is someone else's Ancestry Tree or One World Tree, or another less reliable compilation of data available at Ancestry. So I've tried to work on removing those meaningless sources and replacing them with more concrete records references. Thus anything you add will be a great improvement. As my topic indicates, my connection to the Stevens family is mostly via various Blaisdells or Synnotts who married into the family. We have a longstanding family debate about a photo (now lost) that some of my father's generation remember their grandmother Lydia Gertrude Synnott Blaisdell showing them, which indicated in some way that the family had a native american lineage. Others say grandmother was not serious in making such a claim. My father insists that he understood that it was the Stevens family that had the native american lineage. Of course, any such lineage would be many generations ago, but it is a point of family debate and sparked my interest in establishing these lines. So far, I'm mostly stuck on a Campbell family line. Do you know anything about the history of Archibald Campbell, who married Alice Maria Stevens, James Madison Stevens sister? (the James Madison Stevens of 1812, not 1877...) Thanks!
