Marietta Keffer [13 November 2008]

Jimmy, this line is the ancestry of my first cousin, T.J.Marietta who died 6 years ago. Jenny was the sister of his 4th g-grandfather, George Marietta. I have nothing beyond her parents who were married in Harpers Ferry,WV, then VA. His (T.J.')s ancestors moved from MD to VA the PA and then to Southern Illinois near St. Louis. I have nothing on Andrew other than his name. --Scot 17:20, 13 November 2008 (EST)

p24193.ged appears to overlap a previously-imported GEDCOM [5 December 2008]

The pages from this GEDCOM have not yet been generated because they appear to match pages from a GEDCOM you have previously imported to WeRelate.

If you have already imported a GEDCOM containing people in this GEDCOM and you want to replace that tree with this GEDCOM, you need to delete that tree first so duplicates aren't created when you import this GEDCOM. Go to the Family Tree page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the "delete" link next to that tree. Please be aware that any pages in that tree that are being watched by others won't get deleted. Once that tree is deleted you can create a new tree and re-upload this GEDCOM into it. (We're planning to make re-uploading GEDCOM files much simpler later this Fall.)

If you don't think you have already imported a GEDCOM containing people in this GEDCOM, or if the two GEDCOM's don't overlap that much, leave a message for Dallan or send an email to dallan@WeRelate.org and we'll go ahead with the import.

Andrew Jackson Keffer [22 March 2010]

Hi, My name is Kelly Lynn Keffer. I viewed this web page by accident and noticed that there are a few mistakes. Andrew Jackson Keffer born on April 29, 1921 is my father. My name is spelled Kelly not Kelley. And my mother is not Fucie; she is Evelyn Parker. Who was Andrew Jackson Keffer's 2nd wife. Judith King was his 3rd wife.

Thank You,

Kelly L. Keffer Akron, OH--ImagineKelly 17:43, 22 March 2010 (EDT)

Johan Jacob Brake m. Maria Kieffer [13 April 2010]

Hello, I noticed you had the following person that you added:

Johan Jacob Brake.

I have merged this Johan Brake with the Jacob Brake below.

I have another Jacob Brake, who married 1) Elizabeth Cooper and 2nd) Maria Catherina Stump.

The information on Jacob Brake marrying Elizabeth Cooper and Catherine Stump is from several sources, including "The Descendants of Jacob Brake", by Don Norman:

http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hcpd/norman/BRAKE.htm

The Brake and Stump families from the South Branch of the Potomac are both part of a project I've been working on, called "Early Settlers of Augusta County, Virginia".

Best Regards,

Keffer / Glazier [22 May 2018]

"JiimyK",

Thanks for posting the exact date of death for Dorothy (Keffer) Glazier! I knew she had died, as I was contacted via e-mail by her son, a couple of years ago, who had absolutely no idea that I had known his mother! He was just following up on a Glasser posting I had made.

You may have noted that I have added some data to a few other Keffer pages you have. I have one of Maxine Renner Eberle's churchbooks (Zion's Congregation) and have been trying to link members of that congregation.

My brother has built quite a bit upon the work of my mother. In the age before the internet, she was brilliant. In the internet age, he is.--Otterbein79 05:44, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Help John Leonard Keffer Tree [11 March 2014]

Hi JiimyK,

my name is Roberto Keffer Avelino, I'm from Brazil and looking for information about my great-great-grand-father, who I knew as Franklin Keffer, son of John Leonard Keffer, from Lancaster, PA.

I see you put information about them on werelate, so, I'd like to ask if you can help me in my research.

If you could only point me where I can find documents about them, it would be really appreciated.

I also have information about the rest of his family tree, after he went to Brazil, in case you have interest.

I'm looking forward to hear from you.

Best Regards,

Roberto--Kefferavelino 15:54, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
