Wow! [29 January 2011]

It was amazing to see your post here. Pearl Gaddie was my great-grandmother. So, If she's in your tree too - we must be distant relations...or maybe not so distant.

Her son, William Donald was my grandfather, his son is my dad.

Would you be willing to send me scans/copies of those letters? I would love to have those as part of a digital family tree I'm putting together for our family.

Of course, I'd be more than happy to aid you however I can with this line.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Dewitt Family [25 November 2012]

Hello Cuz

I'm Bob Hodgens son of Bill and Lucille (Dewitt) Hodgens of Corpus Christi, Texas. Are you Jerry or his sibling? It's been a long time since I've had any contact with any of the Abshier family members. I hope you don't mind if I edit (update)some of your entries for the Hodgens family. I'm currently living in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and don't have much contact with anyone outside of the Hodgens side of the family. I would like to know more of what has happened to the Abshire's in the last 20 years. I know Richard passed a few years ago. He Amos Dewitt and I were all born in 1943. Amos passed Jan 2, 2004. kind of makes me sad to think of those two but there are many great memories of both. I don't know if my email address come with page but if you want you can email me at jatwj66@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you soon.. Bob--Jatwj66 17:04, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Thomas Pride [21 August 2014]

I noticed that Henry Pride is listed as the child of Thomas Pride and Martha Palmer. I just wanted to let you know that Henry is actually the child of Thomas Pride and Catherine "Caty" Miley. Thomas and Caty were married in Knox County, In (before it was Pike County, IN) in 1809. Henry was born in 1814. After Caty died, the widower Thomas married the widow Martha Palmer in Nov. 1846, making Martha the step-mother to Henry Pride. Martha had several children from her first marriage who are listed by their correct last name (Palmer) in one of the (1850?) Pike County census records. I am descended from Thomas and Caty through Henry and Rhoda (Fowler) Pride and their son, William T. Pride (who married Catherine Doades/Dodes...)

Littleberry Vest Descendants [25 May 2018]

I'm hoping that your account is still alive and you are monitoring activity.

In researching my wife's 6th gr grandfather Littleberry Vest I saw some activity where I believe you received info from Mary Jo Martin.

I would be interested in tapping into any research info that you are willing to share.
