Garlicks Meal Hill [27 December 2015]

Hi, I have been away from genealogy work for a bit... Yes, I am connected to the Garlicks of Meal Hill. Ann Garlick (b 1821) married Enoch Beardsell in 1843. They were my grandmother's grandparents. Enoch and Ann had several children, one of whom was William Beardsell. William married Ann Bray in 1878. My Grandmother was Emma, the oldest and only one to emigrate to the US.

Ann's father was George, and she had a brother John, but I have found little beyond that. William must fit in there somewhere! I have been to Meal Hill and around Holme, Holmfirth, etc. There is still much more to explore.--Betty22 17:15, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

Wm Garlick [12 April 2017]

Yes, Wm's son George (1793) had a daughter Ann (1819). Ann married Enoch Beardsell. Their son William Beardsell (b. 1843) was my grandmother's father.

I have been to Meal Hill.--Betty22 19:14, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

Wm Garlick Meal Hill [7 December 2018]

Hi Yes, I am related to a Wm Garlick (b.~1791) of Meal Hill. He would be my 3rd Great grandfather if my calculations are right. His daughter Ann married Enoch Beardsell. Their son was Wm Beardsell (b. 1843, Meal Hill) and his daughter Emma (1879)was my grandmother. Emma and Arthur Clough emmigrated to the USA in the early 1900's. But, the rest of the family was from Holme area.

I have visited Holme, Holmefirth, and walked up Meal Hill and found the farm and land where my grandmother was born.

I have not been on this site for a while, so pardon if I already answered your message.

Wm Garlick Meal Hill [12 January 2019]

I am definitely a relative of Wm Garlick (1763-1821) of Meal Hill. His son Geo married Sarah (?Beardsell) and their daughter Ann married Enoch Beardsell, son of Wm Beardsell and Sarah Howard. Their son Wm Beardsell (1843-1905) married Anne Bray. Their daughter Emma was my grandmother.--Betty22 20:56, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
