Kincaid.ged appears to overlap a previously-imported GEDCOM [16 January 2009]

The pages from this GEDCOM have not yet been generated because they appear to match pages from a GEDCOM you have previously imported to WeRelate.

If you have already imported a GEDCOM containing people in this GEDCOM and you want to replace that tree with this GEDCOM, you need to delete that tree first so duplicates aren't created when you import this GEDCOM. Go to the Family Tree page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the "delete" link next to that tree. Please be aware that any pages in that tree that are being watched by others won't get deleted. Once that tree is deleted you can create a new tree and re-upload this GEDCOM into it. (We're planning to make re-uploading GEDCOM files much simpler later this Fall.)

If you don't think you have already imported a GEDCOM containing people in this GEDCOM, or if the two GEDCOM's don't overlap that much, leave a message for Dallan or send an email to dallan@WeRelate.org and we'll go ahead with the import.

Possible copyright issue with your page: Eddy Smith [14 July 2010]

Hello, I am one of the volunteer Administrator's on WeRelate. It was pointed out that the information contained on one of your pages for Eddy Smith is exactly the same as the following rootsweb page:

[1]

Does this rootsweb page belong to you? We wanted to make sure that there was no copyright infringement. This page is being considered as a possible Featured Page in the next few weeks, but it needs to be clear of any copyright issues.

Please let us know by responding below.

Thanks and best regards,

Jim Volunteer Administrator on WeRelate--Delijim 12:09, 13 July 2010 (EDT)

The rootsweb page does not belong to me. I believe a cousin sent me the info on Eddy, but if it is considered copyright infringement then feel free to delete it.  :^( Jessica--Frosty73 09:22, 14 July 2010 (EDT)

You might want to "re-write" the information (focus on the "facts") and condense it, so it is not "exactly" the same as the rootsweb contributor. Since "facts" can't be copyrighted you should concentrate on those and delete the narrative.

Best regards,

Jim--Delijim 16:14, 14 July 2010 (EDT)

David Robinson [4 July 2016]

Hi! I've been doing genealogy for over 30 years now. I started before the internet! I've recently started again and have discovered quite a bit.

My great great grandfather was David Robinson married to Mary Ann Coleman. But I've hit a wall there. I see that you have them connected to a John and Nancy Robinson. What sources did you find that information? I haven't found anything that connects them.

Would love to work this out! I found other sources that claimed he was actually a Daniel but after considerable research I was unable to connect them. I did however offer a plasible alternative which it seems they have now accepted and changed.

Please share your information--we may be related!

Thanks for your time.

David Moore and Hannah Kirkpatrick [13 September 2017]

Hi, I'm Beth (Brown) Golden living in Decatur, GA and am currently researching my MOORE ancestors. Rebecca (Rhebeca) Moore is my 2nd great grandmother. She was born 1821 in Licking County, OH, m1 Richard Gibson BROWN, m2 Platt MOTT; died 1910 Logan, Harrison, IA. It's been suggested by other researchers that her father was Daniel Grove Moore and mother, Jane Kirkland. I have not been able to verify this. However, I just found the marriage of David Moore to Hannah Kirkpatrick, which sounds similar. On your profile for David Moore, you have that he and Hannah had 8 children. Do you have their names or more information on this family? Your source was Monana County, IA by Loess Hills Hist. Society. Monana County is adjacent to Harrison County where Rebecca died. Also, a David Moore owned land in Rock Island County, IL, adjacent to where Rebecca and other family lived about 1840 - 1860. So I'm hopeful that I'm finally on track in finding Rebecca's ancestors. Thanks for any information you can provide!--Gramssearch 06:55, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
