Getting Started [12 December 2011]

Hi Eric, welcome to WeRelate. Before you start adding persons and family to WeRelate, we ask that you have done adequate research to prove information on the families that you're researching. Normally, you would start on many of the genealogy message boards (Genforum, Ancestry, etc.) and also search on Familysearch to find information, in addition to using primary source records (wills, land records, etc). to prove their family information. After that, you should add what you know to WeRelate, and see if someone else has added (or will add in the future) information on the same family, then you can collaborate and find out more about them. The tutorials listed above in DFree's message to you are an excellent place to start!

Hopefully, that will help you progress in your research and help you collaborate with other researchers on WeRelate.
