Samuel Morrow m. Sarah McKnight [4 May 2009]

Hi Melissa --

The DNA results, which come from a cousin of yours, show that Samuel Morrow was descended from the same male ancestor as a number of other men in what we call "Group I". These men all trace their ancestry fairly reliably to the mid-1700s, and from there a combination of some research and tradition ties them all to Alexander Morrow. Alexander's father is by tradition David Morrow of Norfolk, VA, a line many Morrows tie into by virtue of a lot of trash research out there. I can't, however, tell you how your Samuel fits in to the line -- just that there's a 97% chance that your cousin shares a male Morrow ancestor with one of the other group members within 8 generations. The line is well-researched, so the result is very intriguing. I'm sure you have specific questions, and if you email me privately, I can answer them and put you in touch with others in the group. In the meantime, please take advantage of WeRelate and help fill out your Morrow line!--Amelia 21:53, 4 May 2009 (EDT)
