Katie and Emil Stork [21 February 2015]

Hi Brnfern, welcome to WeRelate. I noticed your work on a few Dutch immigrants to Wisconsin. I did a bit more digging to find the parents of Katie and Emil Stork.

In the 1900 census, next to Katie's name it says "daughter from first wife". Derk Hendrik Fukkink was married previously to Anna Gesiena te Winkel. Anna Gesiena herself was first married to Emma Stork (name spelled as it appears in both the marriage record and the 1870 census). So, I believe it is Family:Emma Stork and Anna te Winkel (1) who are the parents of Katie and Emil.

If you don't mind, I'd like to make a few edits:

• move Katie and Emil to children under Family:Emma Stork and Anna te Winkel (1)
• rename both of their pages to show the surname Stork. The convention on WeRelate is to place a person's birth/maiden name in the Primary name field as well as the page title.
• remove the family of Family:Unknown Stork and Catrine Fukkink (1)

I'm also working to confirm the identity of Person:Catrine Fukkink (1) and her parents. When I find that information, I will add her parents and rename her page to show her birth name. --Jennifer (JBS66) 13:16, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
