Stephen Charleton. I have researched this line and found this to be true. I have documented evidence from a will. Col. William Scarborough and Mary Ann Charleton ARE in point of fact the parents of William Scarborough, born 1640 who married Amy Holdworth. William and Amy Scarborough are the parents of Edward Scarborough, born 1666 who married an as yet UNKNOWN woman. Edward and the unknown wife are the parents of Mary Scarborough, born 1695 who married Daniel Dugger or Duggard. However it was pronounced it traveled down my line as "Dugger." William (Julius Caesar) Dugger, b.1720 = Martha or Mary Kincaid/ Benjamin Dugger, b.1747 = Elizabeth Celia Duke/ David Dugger, b. 1777 = Margaret Ernest/ Henry Dugger, b.1809 = Sarah Green/ Hardin Green Dugger, b.1840 = Nancy A. Jenkins/ Linnville Andrews Dugger, 1872 Sweetwater, TN. = Mary Ada Puryear, b.1876/ Roas Grace Dugger, b.1904 = Wiley Sanford Barnes The WILL I mentioned is from 'Wills and Administrations of Accomack County, Virginia. 1600-1800' It's on page 8. The Charleton family is from Hesleyside County, Northumberland, England. See the book "The General Armory' page 185 or 186 for their Arms. You will please notice that the are the same as John Cherleton, 1st Baron Cherleton, of Powys, Wales. He Married Hawise de la Pole, daughter of Owen de la Pole. Prince de jure of Powys Wenwynwyn. You seem to be making some mistakes. I suggest you do more research. - Sir Michael D. Barnes [email protected]Teltalheart 04:40, 5 May 2014 (UTC) |
