Hi, great homepage. Thanks for participating. If you have any questions or comments please email me. Hi, WeRelate will feature ancestor pages in a few weeks and GEDCOM uploads about December, 2006. Ancestor pages will make posting biographies very simple. This has brought up some licensing issues. Please read [[Licensing_issues_discussion_page|]] and give us your opinion. Thanks --sq 16:08, 14 August 2006 (MDT)

Tabs and blue boxes

Hi, I don't know if you care but the wikimedia software that makes all this possible doesn't understand tabs. So, whenever it encounters a tab, it draws that blue box around the paragraph. The only real way to separate the paragraphs is to leave a blank line. If you use the # as you have but without a tab before the line of text, it will automatically indent the line and number it for you. The : is used to indent paragraphs, see also Help:formatting. So, if you removed the tabs and wrote

:Edwin Webb
::Census
::# Must have lived in Brerton
::IGI
::# Chance very small
::# Census must be right

You would get:

Edwin Webb
Census
  1. Must have lived in Brerton
IGI
  1. Chance very small
  2. Census must be right

Thanks so much for participating. We really appreciate your contribution to the WeRelate virtual genealogical community and knowledge-base. If you have any other questions or comments please email me.--sq 23:27, 11 September 2006 (MDT)

Pedigree maps

Have you seen the new maps on pedigree pages? Color is used to distinguish families. Here's an example.--Dallan 23:54, 24 November 2006 (MST)

Yes, I had spotted it. At the moment I'm eagerly awaiting GEDCOM import, so I can have these type of features for my family tree without having to enter people manually.--Bjwebb 01:27, 25 November 2006 (MST)

GEDCOM upload

Hi, Just a quick note to thank you for your upload. We're still testing but we expect to have your pages created sometime tomorrow.--Dallan 21:37, 5 February 2007 (MST)

Hi again, we successfully uploaded your gedcom to our testing environment today, but we noticed that your gedcom doesn't contain "UID"s. Not having UID's will make it difficult if you later want to upload a revised gedcom with updated information -- we may not be able to match the people in your first upload with those in your second. Do you have a gedcom with UIDs? (The current versions of most genealogy applications include them now in gedcom exports.) Otherwise, let me know and we'll upload your gedcom to the public website tomorrow.--Dallan 22:46, 6 February 2007 (MST)
Hi again, just a note to let you know that we uploaded your gedcom to the site last night. Please let us know if you notice any problems.--Dallan 11:26, 8 February 2007 (MST)
Thanks for uploading your GEDCOM! We found some bugs in the first batch that we uploaded, so we're fixing them and we hope to have your file uploaded by the end of tomorrow (Wednesday).-Nathan 21:54, 13 February 2007 (MST)
