Hello, I am a volunteer admin and it's my job to help people learn the system. You asked for help licensing your images. I can't license your images but I can give your guidance. There are numerous licensing options, but most images fall into one of these categories:

• Original published in US before 1923
• Low resolution copy of an historical photograph. (When you reduce the image before upload, the resolution is reduced.)
• Snippet of historical document
• Work of US government--Public domain
• If you took the picture, select the CC-BY-SA
• If you know the photographer, get written permission.

William Magee - Georgia and North Carolina [22 April 2015]

Hello Mr Creel, I have been studying your analysis of William Magee. It has opened my eyes to the fact that I may have some more research and studying to do. Your writing of Lewis Magee being the possible father of the William Magee who was married to Mary James completely makes sense, given the fact that the James Family and Magee Family were in the same area.

I am a product of both Magee lines - Georgia and North Carolina. John Magee and Bethany Scott produced a daughter Dicy who married Hezekiah Magee (son of William). Their son, Elbert L Magee, then his son Robert Elbert Magee, his daughter Alice Magee and her daughter. In that line, Robert Elbert Magee's mother had previously been married to a Magee. Also, Robert Elbert Magee's wife Florence Adaline was also a Magee.

The study of the Magee Family in Lousiana and Mississippi is truly a science. In view of your work, I am quite the beginner.

George W Jones family [2 February 2016]

Greetings. My mother, Juanita Jenkins Hebert, and I have been researching many St Tammany/Washington Parish families for about 30 years. In your bio, you mentioned going around Washington Parish with your grandmother doing research. I wonder if we passed each other as we were doing the same thing around that time.

One of my ancestors is Washington A Jones, son of George W Jones of VA. Until recently, I lived in Northern Virginia and spent a lot of time traveling to various courthouses looking for his roots.

We also have a Magee line. Dicey Magee married Duncan McIntyre in 1809. They lived in various places in LA and MS.

My mother is updating her book on our Rogers line, Settling In, and she was wondering if it was possible for us to share information.

Greeting! I'm always happy to share information. However, I should state that, while I live in Washington DC, much of my material is in storage at my mom's in Washington Parish.
