Tiptree [4 July 2023]

Hello I am responsible for the current description of Tiptre but I see that it was written in 2019

Where did you find it was established in 1934?

I am without my computer until tomorrow so I won't be able to consider the problem till then. Regards--Goldenoldie 14:33, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

Sorry - cannot give links right now - it is pretty common knowledge and I have seen it referenced in Newspapers of the 1934 era when I was trawling through the digital newspaer archive - I presume it is written on the Tiptree Parish Council website and probably the websites of some of the parishes that had bits removed - Inworth - Messing - Layer Marney, obviously Tolleshunt Knights - possibly Tolleshunt D'Arcy was also involved and there was a detached part of either Great or Little Wigborough up at Goodmans'Green by the United Reformed Church. there was a dissneters place of worship there from the 16th century or earlier (see Wigborough Martyrs)

Another excellent website for information about this area of Essex is the West Mersea Museum site. Although an island West Mersea has strong transport links with the Thurstable and Winstree Hundred areas as roads to and from W Mersea traverse here betwixt towns like Maldon and Witham and kelvedon village - the nearest railway connection.

This is just bashed out sorry for nor providing references - thanks for such a prompt response (I see the 4*~) system works here similar to Wikipedia to which I at one time made many edits - until more precision was needed - (I am dyslexic and dyspraxic and not good with detail)Andrew S Hatton 14:59, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
