This is a page for collecting notes about the Way family, specifically the family of my grandparents, Wilford and Zela.

These are bits of unsubstantiated information awaiting further research.

• Wilford was married previously to Margie Moore, who died of influenza. Was this the Spanish Flu?
• Zela had two children before Harley? I found evidence of one who died very young, maybe stillborn as I couldn't find any birth information?
• Zela knew Amy Way in 1913 (my mother says she was a letter between the two with that date)
• Herb and Mary had a child on 17-Oct-1952. Supposedly died at birth, but neither saw the baby. Zela suspected foul play?

Q: What did Wilford do in WW1? I know he enlisted in South Dakota, went to Fort Greene SC for boot camp, and rode a motorcycle in France? When did he complete his service?

Q: How/where did Wilford and Zela meet?

Q: When and why did the family move to Oregon (1947?)

Q: How did Zela end up getting married to Ray Bryan in Indiana? Why did they go to Montana? Was it to live with/near her parents? Why/when did they divorce?

Q: What did Wilford do for a living?

Q: It appears that Nathan and Eva Way moved to Anita, Iowa shortly before Wilford was born? Why?

Q: I cannot find Wilford in any Census after 1910... not sure why
