My name is Danny L. Ketterman. I was born in Moorefield, West Virginia on October, 1951. I was raised in Durgon, Hardy County, West Virginia, United States, where we lived. At present, I am researching my ancestors on my side of the family, and my wife's ancestors on her side of the family.

AS far as I know, my Ketterman ancestors came from Germany, arriving in Pennsylvania about 1751. Growing up I had always heard that I and my siblings (4 brothers and a sister) came from a German and Scotch-Irish background.

My father, Henry Ketterman was born in Hardy County to George Washington Ketterman and Virginia Belle Jenkins. They had 12 children altogether. My father was the sixth child. My mother, Flora Kathryn Keener, was born in Braxton County, West Virginia. My Mom told us that during Word War II, she had the chance to write to 1 of 2 servicemen, and that she had picked my Dad to be the recipient of that writing.

I now am living in Simpsonville, S.C., having come here in 1978, from Pittsburgh, PA., where I had worked from 1974 to 1978.

So, Here I Am.
