My name is Lianne Lavoie, and I am a computer scientist in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
I started working on my family tree in grade 11 history class, and became fascinated by genealogy as a hobby. I tend to focus on my French ancestors in Acadia, simply because there is so much information available. However, I would love to expand on my mom's side of the family, which is of English and Scottish background, and has not been in Canada for as long, making it more difficult to research.
I would also like to find living people with whom I share common ancestors.
