and Isaac Lansdale of Queen Ann Town in the Province of Maryland, Planter and Isaac Lansdale of Queen Anne Town in the said County, Merchant …
...that whereas Charles Walker is lawfully seized of a Lease for the Term of three lives bearing date 3 March 1700 for during the natural life of Rebecca Walker his wife, the natural life of Charles Walker his Son and the natural life of Elizabeth Walker his Daughter, the natural life of the longest liver of them Successively, a certain parcel of Land Containing two hundred acres being part of the Mannor lying in the County afs’d whereon the said Charles now lives bounded by lines of James Mullikin
and Whereas the said Charles Walker is also seized in fee simple a certain tract on the North Side of the Eastern branch of the Potomack containing 300 acres and stands indebted to the said Isaac Lansdale in the sum of 160 pounds four shillings and eight pence Sterling
NOW this Indenture witnesseth that the said Charles Walker for and in consideration of the sum of 168 pounds four shillings eight pence sterling due to the said Isaac Lansdale as security for the payment of the same hath given granted bargained and sold to the said Isaac Lansdale his heirs and assigns the said land being the same whereon he now lives with all estate right and title… and also two Negroe men called Jack & Scoggin PROVIDED that it is the true intent of these presents that if the said Charles Walker his heirs and assigns or any of them shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Isaac Lansdale the said sum by shipping with convenient speed a crop of Tobacco that hath been made on the plantation of the said Charles Walker the year past to Walter/William Smith to sell and dispose to such merchant as the said Isaac assigns or appoints yearly herafter until the said sum with interest somplies the agreement above shall be void. (signed) Charles (his mark) Walker Senr. Wits: Nathaniel Wickham Junr and Richard Duckett. Returned 15 May 1729 at which time Rebecca Walker, wife of Charles, released her dower right.

I think there is a deed where he finally makes this property over to Isaac Lansdale but have not abstracted it yet – have reference to myself that it is in Book M p. 589 abstracted by Anne Livingston [email protected]] Note: Richard Duckett the husband of Charity Jacob – her sister Elizabeth the wife of Mareen Duvall Jr. and her brother Richard the husband of Hannah Howard
