Both the marriage record and town death record, and the admission to church give Henry's first wife's name as Mary. Her death record in the church records calls her Elizabeth, an apparent clerical error confusing her with her mother. Also, Nathaniel was a child of his second wife, not the third, being baptized, as Savage shows, in Apr 1653, while the third wife signed a marriage contract in Jun 1653 [1] indicating her marriage probably occurred after that birth, and certainly not a year earlier than the contract, as would be needed for her to be the mother of the baptized child. Savage neglects to mention other children, John in 1648 and Sarah in 1650, by the second wife, which probably pre-disposed him to make this error by allowing the impression that the 2nd wife probably died earlier than she did. --Jrich 20:51, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
