The marriage is recorded in Barnstable on 30 Jan 1699. The earlier date is confirmed by a mention of wife's "daughter Loring" in 12 Jun 1699 will of John Holbrook. Anderson in his Great Migration Series (2:3:354), relied on Savage, and was therefore forced to justify that a will could be written knowing a marriage was impending. The source of the wrong date, 20 Jul 1699, is unknown, as no such record has been found. --Jrich 15:51, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
