Defect 1

Source:Winsor, Justin. History of the Town of Duxbury, Massachusetts, with Genealogical Registers, p. 240 says Robert had a grant in 1638, and also that a John Carver had a grant in 1640. Clearly if John, the son of Robert, d. 1679 aged 41 [according to Savage, 42 according to the Marshfield records], hence born 1637 or 1638, he was not the one given a grant in 1640. The man getting the grant in 1640 must have been a different person. --Jrich 17:38, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
