15 July 1656; Mary, 2 Nov. 1659; and Samuel, 14 May 1662; rem.
to Swansey, of wh. he was one of the first sett. and was a selectman
there, by w. Hannah had Samuel, again, 23 Apr. 1673; and Hepzibah,
15 Nov. 1674. THOMAS, Northampton, by w. Hannah had Edward,
wh. d. 1662; Mary, b. 1663; Esther, 1665; and Thomas, 1666.
On 11 Jan. 1667, Thomas d. but it is not certain wh. of the two,
prob. it was the ch. was then taken. No more is heard of the fam.
WALTER, Wethersfield 1648. WILLIAM, Cambridge, 1632,
came in the Lion, with Wadsworth, Talcot, Goodwin, Olmstead,
and others, arr. at Boston 16 Sept. and adm. freem. 6 Nov. foll. rem.
1636 to Hartford, and was of orig. proprs. selectman 1641, rem. a. 1659
to Hadley, for wh. he was rep. 1662, for Northampton 1664; his w.
Felix d. 1671, at H. and he finally rem. a. 1675 to Farmington, there d.
1683, at gr. age. His only ch. was William, b. in Eng. and the mo. is
call. Felix. WILLIAM, Roxbury, in absurd fam. tradit. by wh. Farmer
was misled, oft. made the same as the foregoing, adm. freem. 18 May
1642, brot. it is said, John, b. 1 Nov. 1635; and Christopher, 1636,
both in Eng. and the town rec. has Lydia, b. 25 Dec. 1640; and Josiah,
28 July 1641; so careless was that keeping, that we willingly miss the
later ch. Perhaps he rem. to Boston 1644, and contin. to worship with
apostle Eliot; at least we find at R. bapt. Isaac, 14 Apr. 1644; tho. a
rec. is found of his b. 15 Apr.; Mary, 2 Aug. 1646; and Hannah, 18
Mar. 1649; and may be that propr. of Lancaster 1654, wh. d. 3 Dec.
1671. His will of 21 Nov. preced. names w. Amy, who with Isaac, are
made excors. Other ch. were John, Lydia, Mary, and Hannah. WILLIAM,
Farmington, s of the first William, b. in Eng. m. 1644 (in
conform. with a contr. betw. his f. and Mary Whitehead of Windsor, w.
of Richard, mo. prob. of ) Mary Hopkins prob. d. of William, Esq. a
few yrs. earlier of Stratford, had Mary, b. 6 May 1645; Philip, bapt.
13 Dec. 1646, bef. ment.; Samuel, b. 18 Aug. 1648, bef. ment.; Sarah,
1652; Hannah; William, bapt. 15 Mar. 1657, d. 1737; Felix, 12 Dec. 1658;
Ebenezer, sett. at Wallingford; John, 6 May 1665, d. at 19 yrs.; and James,
10 July 1667; liv. at Jamaica, L. I. d. 1728. He m. 22 Dec. 1671, sec. w. at
Boston, Mary, d. of celebr. Ezekiel Cheever, had Eliz. b. 20 Oct. 1672, d.
young; Ezekiel, 7 Nov. 1674, H. C. 1694; Nathaniel, 1 Oct. 1676, wh. d.
24 Feb. 1752; Abigail, 19 Sept. 1678, wh. m. 10 Dec. 1696, William
Wadsworth of F. and d. 1707; Joseph, bapt. 14 Mar. 1680; and Daniel,
16 July 1682. The last two d. young. He had milit. office in the war,
from serg. to capt. and d. 1690, when of his 16 ch. 13 were liv. Mary m.
Benjamin Judd; Sarah m. Samuel Boltwood of Hadley; Hannah, m.
first, Samuel Crowe of Hadley, had two ch. and sec. in 1676, Daniel
Marsh; and Felix m. Thomas Selden of Hadley. His wid. m. 13 June
1692, deac. Thomas Bull, and d. 10 Jan. 1728. WILLIAM, Farmington,
s. of the preced. m. Sarah, d. of deac. Isaac Moore, or More, had Ruth,
b. 12 Sept. 1679; Sarah, 15 Apr. 1682; Isaac, 26 Apr. 1685; William, 2
Sept. 1688; Daniel, 10 Dec. 1692; Phebe, 3 Sept. 1694; Jonathan, 2 June
1697; and Mary, 31 Mar. 1700. Sometimes the terminat. is es, but it would
be vain to attempt to disting.
