Lyme, d. bef. 1657, or perhaps rem. to Portsmouth, R. I. where in
1679 he was liv. 71 yrs. old. JOHN, Saybrook 1648, perhaps br. of the
preced. was on the side of the riv. incorp. 1667, as Lyme, in his will of
16 or 18 Jan. 1675, two days bef. he d. calls hims. aged, names s. John,
and James, by former w. and Peter and John of his present w. Abigail,
ds. Abigail, Susanna, and Elizabeth John, and, perhaps, others of these ch.
were b. in Eng. James, one of the s. d. a. 1683; and the wid. Abigail
d. 1686. JOHN, Lyme, s. of the preced. b. in Eng. prob. was badly
wound. in the gr. swamp fight, 19 Dec. 1675, had w. Sarah, and ch.
Sarah, b. 4 Feb. 1665; Rebecca, 9 Sept. 1666; Edward, 26 Jan. 1668;
Catharine, 11 Feb. 1672; Abigail, 9 Sept. 1673; Marah, 21 Mar.
1678; Elizabeth 18 Dec. 1681; John, 25 Mar. 1683; and Phebe, 13 Jan.
1685; and d. 13 Nov. 1696, aged 63; and his wid. d. 12 June 1702.
Possib. this Lyme name may be the same as Laigh or Lee. ROBERT,
Lynn 1638, rem. to Saybrook;, prob. 1647, in Dec. of this yr. was m.
had Phebe, b. 5 Jan. 1651; and Robert, 6 Mar. 1654; was freem.
1657, rep. 1666; his w. Sarah d. 21 May 1676, aged a. 59, and he d. 9
July 1689, aged 72. Phebe m. 1667, John Denison of Stonington.
ROBERT, Saybrook, s. of the preced. m. 22 Jan. 1680, Mary Stanton,
had Robert, b. 27 Jan. 1681; Sarah, 19 Feb. 1683; Mary, 3 Oct.
1685; Thomas, 10 May 1688; Samuel and Temperance, tw. 25 July
1691, of wh. Samuel d. soon; Samuel, again, 18 Feb. 1695; Phebe, 14
Aug.; 1698; and Dorothy, 3 June 1701. WILLIAM, Boston, by w. Mary
had Susanna, b. 6 Aug. 1690. It is spelt Ley, sometimes, and, also, Lee.

    LAZELL, HENRY, Barnstable 1637, of wh. no more is heard. ISAAC,
Hingham, s. of John, m. 20 Jan. 1686, Abigail, or Abiab, d. of John

18 Oct. foll. I think, in Phip's sad exped. against Quebec. The wid.
admin. 28 Apr. 1691, and m. Isaac Johnson. ISRAEL, Hingham,
youngest br. of |the preced. m. 6 July 1698, Rachel, d. of Daniel
Lincoln, had Isaac, b. 30 Aug. 1701; Israel, 8 Jan. 1704; Daniel, 1
Feb. 1706; and Jonathan, 19 Mar. 1708. JOHN, Hingham 1647, m. 29
Nov. but ano. rec. says 22 Dec. 1649, Elizabeth d. of Stephen Gates, had
