Weymouth, s. of the last preced. prob. but possib. of the last but one, by
w. Mary had Mary, b. 29 Nov. 1690, d. soon; Mary, again, 24 Aug.
1692; Nicholas and Hannah, tw. 23 May 1697. PHILIP, Boston, may
be that youth of 15 yrs. from Olney, Co. Bucks, arr. in the Hopewell,
capt. Bundock, 1635, serv. to John Cooper, wh. sat down, prob. at
Lynn, and went to L. I. had by w. Rachel at B.Susanna, wh. d. 14 Dec.
1651; Susanna, wh. d. 15 Aug. 1656; and David, b. 1 Mary. 1660; d. Oct.
1669, and admin. was giv. the mo. foll. to William Dennison of Milton
in behalf of the eldest s. John and two other s. perhaps b. bef. he came to
B. but his inv. was only L2. 16. RICHARD, Weymouth, eldest s. of the
first Nicholas of the same, by w. Mary, d. of Samuel Packard, had one
ch. b. 7 Dec. 1657, not nam. in the rec. and may therefore be supposed to
have d. soon; Mary, 21 May 1660, d. soon; Mary, again, 24 May 1661;
Joshua, 10 May 1662; Nicholas, 30 Mar. 1664; Elizabeth 27 Nov. 1665;
Richard, 20 Oct. 1667; and Samuel, 7 May 1670; was freem. 1678.
Mitchell, in Hist. of Bridgewater, gives him w. Elizabeth d. of deac. Samuel
Edson, besides Mary Packard. If he be correct, perhaps the sec. w. was
Edson. SAMUEL, Taunton, m. 15 May 1676, a wid. Cobb, had Mehitable,
b. 9 Jan. foll. SAMUEL, Rowley, s. of the first George, b. in Eng. 1625,
at Boxted in Essex, if Prince II. 45, seem better authority, as usual, than
Mather, who calls it Boxford, H. C. 1651, ord. June 1652, collea. with
Ezekiel Rogers, m. Oct. foll. Sarah, d. of Samuel Appleton of Ipswich,
had Samuel, b. Mar. 1654, d. young; Sarah, 7 Feb. or 14 Mar. 1656,
wh. m. Stephen Mighill; Samuel, again, 13 or 23 Mar. 1658; George,
23 Nov. 1659; Elizabeth 16 Nov. 1661; Ezekiel, Feb. 1663; all three d.
soon; George, again, 3 June 1664, H. C. 1686, bef. ment.; Elizabeth 2 Aug.
1665, wh. m. 7 Nov. 1683, Rev. Edward Payson, and d. 1724; Dorcas,
1667; Mary, Feb. 1668; and John, 23 Oct. 1670. The last three also
d. soon. He d. 22 Apr. 1696, and his wid. d. 15 July 1713, aged 85.
SAMUEL Boston 1681, disting. as a bookseller, in Thomas, Hist. of Print.
II. 411, and John Dunton in the curious book of his Life and Errors;
m. Hannah, d. of capt. Benjamin Gillam, had Hannah, b. 8, bapt. 12
Mar. 1682; Gillam, b.25 Sept. 1686, but not bapt. bef. 6 Oct. 1695;
Faith; Samuel, bapt. 28 May 1693; Ann, 30 nov. 1701; and Henry,
25 Feb. 1706, prob. H. C. 1724; and he d. Oct. 1720, aged 58. Hannah,
the eldest ch. m. 4 Jan. 1700, David Anderson of Charlestown,and
next, 8 July 1703, Habijah Savage of Boston; Gillam m. Mary Faneuil;
Faith m. June 1710, Arthur Savage; Samuel was drown, near home.
