Prob. he had liv. at Hingham in Norf. for his suppos. br. Robert was

Centu. Disc. JOSEPH, New Haven, perhaps br. of Henry, resid. from
1643-9, then adm. freem. and next yr. rem. to Milford,there m. Alice,
wid. of John Burwell, had Elizabeth bapt. 1651; Joseph, 1653; and John,
b. 4 Mar. 1655. His w. d. 19 Dec. 1666, and he m. 1669, Mary , d. of
a wid. Richards, but the name of her f. is not seen, had Mary, b. 1670.
He was liv. 1687 at M. as was also s. Joseph. JOSEPH, Lyme, youngest
s. of William, by w. Sarah had Sarah, b. 4 Aug. 1663; Joseph, 12
Mar. 1667, d. at 10 yrs.; Elizabeth 9 Sept. 1669; Deborah, 31 July 1672;
Hannah, 14 Sept. 1674; Ruth, 19 Aug. 1676; Samuel, 29 July 1678;
and Joseph, 20 Mar. 1680. He was a valu. citz. town clk. and deac. d.
25 Nov. 1718; and his wid. d. 14 Sept. 1726, aged 90. JOSEPH, New
Haven, s. of Henry, m. 28 Nov. 1672, Sarah, d. of Roger Alling, had
Sarah, b. 11 Sept. foll.; Joseph, 9 Oct. 1675; Samuel, 29 Dec. 1677;
James, 17 Feb. 1680; John, 6 Oct. 1675; Samuel, 29 Dec. 1677; Abigail, 2
May 1686; Mary, 6 Oct. 1689; and Ebenezer, 2 May 1693; and d. 15 Apr. 1720.
JOSEPH, Hartford, youngest s. of Paul, by w. Ruth had Elizabeth b. 1686;
Ruth, 1692; both d. young; Joseph, 1694; and Ruth, again, 1696; and
he d. 26 June 1698. His wid. m. 1699, John Hoskins, as his sec. w.
NATHANIEL, Hingham, perhaps s. of Joseph, may have been sent by his
f. from Eng. bef. he brot. resid. of his fam. in 1635, rem. to Rehoboth,
there had sh. in div. of ld. 1668; by w. Deliverance had Elisha, b. 19
Apr. 1675, and she d. 30 apr. foll. He d. 25 Aug. 1676. NATHANIEL,
Boston, requir. to give security, 11 Jan. 1687, to Sect. Randolph, for license
to be m. during the governm. of Sir E. Andros that was, if possib.
more contempt. than odious. See 3 Mass. Hist. Coll. VII. 170. * NICHOLAS,
Rohoboth, prob. s. of Joseph, had fam. of wh. we kn. only, that a
young ch. d. in Aug. 1676; and that elisha was b. 4 Apr. 1683. He
was rep. 1669, and 10 yrs. more, and a lieut. The milit. spirit was, I
suppose, perpet. for two of the name, perhaps his s. Nicholas and Ichabod
partook in the wild expedit. against Quebec 1690, and Nicholas was a
corpo. of Gallop's comp. Perhaps neither came safe home. PAUL,
Hartford 1639, was not an orig. propr. nor is it kn. from what town in
Mass. he went. More do we regret, that no light can be found to indcate
from what part of Eng. or in what sh. he came; but the name of his
w. was Martha, and of ch. Paul, b. 1639; Martha, 1641; Elizabeth 1643;
John, 22 Dec. 1645; Samuel, 1647; Joseph, 22 Dec. 1650; Sarah,
1653; Hannah, 1656; and Mary, 1662, wh. m. John Andrew, and liv.
