Reg,. IX. 362. ICHABOD, Rohoboth, was of Gallup's comp. 1690, in the
expedit. of Sir William Phips against Quebeck. ISRAEL, Rehoboth, 1668,
was prob. s. of Richard, and brot. by him in the Defence, 1635, then aged
7 yrs.
[1] had Israel, b. 18 Dec. 1674; and by w. Bethia, says Col. rec. had
Bethia, 2 Jan. 1684. JEREMIAH, Saybrook, s. of William, b. in London,
prob. in 1623, says the fam. geneal. was brot. a 1637, and in Mather's
Hecatompolis is mark. H. C. but without any support from the Catal.
kept a sch. at Guilford 1656 to 660. He m. 12 Nov. 1656, Joanna, d. of
Robert Kitchell, taught the gr. sch. at New Haven 1660, and next yr.
was min. at S. but in 1667 rem. to Newark, N. J. there resid. to 1674,
and at Elizabethtown, to 1678, aft. wh. he rem. to Greenwich, where he
was min. to 1689, and then went to Waterbury as the first min. and there
d. 7 June 1699, aged 76. He ch. were Samuel, b. at G. 18 Jan. 1659;
Ruth, at N. H. 3 Apr. 1661; Caleb, at S. 1663; Ann, at S. 1665; Jeremiah,
at Newark, or G. 1667; and Joshua, at N. 1673. His wid. d.
1711. Ruth m. 1 June 1681,Jonathan Atwater; and Ann m. May
1690, Thomas Stanley of Farmington; and Joshua d. at W. unm. 14
Feb. 1736. * JEREMIAH, Waterbury, s. of the preced. m. 14 June 1704,
Rachel, youngest d. of Obadiah Richards, was constable 1713, rep. 1720,
deac. at new ch. in W. 1739, and d. 1751. his ch. were Joanna, b. 12
Apr. 1705; Jeremiah, 9 Nov. 1706; Rachel, 10 May 1709; Ann, 10
Mar. 1713; Mary, 1 oct. 1715; Phebe, 26 Jan. 1717; Ruth, 8 Feb.
1719; Esther, 27 June 1721; and Martha, 4 May 1725. JOHN, Hartford,
s. of Paul, as many be thot. yet must seem very young to have first
b. John, 17 May 1661, even if we be so bold as to add two yrs. to that
count; but the rec. proceeds to enrich him with Elizabeth 7 Oct. 1664; Sarah,
20 June 1668; Joseph, 6 Mar. 1671; Ruth, 21 Dec. 1677; Susanna,
Oct. 1680; and Jonathan, 6 Oct. 1683. Wh. was his w. or when
he d. is not seen. JOHN, New Haven, s. of William of the same, freem.
1669, m. 3 Nov. 1664, Mary, d. of John Moss, had Mary, b. 4 Mar.
1666; Eliz. 1668, d. soon; John, 16 Mar. 1670, d. in few ds.; John,
again, Aug. 1671; Eliz. 29 Dec. 1673; Lydia, 1 May 1677; Ruth, 20
July 1679; Abigail, 16 Mar. 1682; Ann, 3 Nov. 1684, d. soon; and
Ann, again, Mar. 1686; but he last six were b. at Wallingford, where
his w. d. 16 Nov. 1725; and he d. a. 1734. JOHN, Rehoboth, prob. s.
of Joseph of the same, m. a d. of John Smith of Dedham, had Rebecca, b.
5 Apr. 1674; Ann, 17 July 1677; Nathaniel, 6 July 1680; Abigail, 12 Mar. 1683;
beside Esther, rememb. in the will of her gr.mo. and prob. the eldest ch. wh.
m. 29 Dec. 1680, Jonathan Wilmarth. JOHN, Hadley 1669, may be that
