from Boston first ch." as Budington's valua. list, pp. 248, 9 and 50 show.
So that we might take the last two, or even three to belong to John the
younger and leave eno. But five ws. this man had. From the will of
ano. John of Charlestown, no doubt his f. made 14 Feb. 1673, of wh.
we see not the day of pro. but find the inv. of 1 June 1674, we find no
other relat. nam. but Elizabeth and Abigail, ds. of his s. John, s.-in-law
Robert Peirce of Woburn, and the w. his own d. Mary, and makes
overseer, his friend and br. (but this means only, I judge, the ch. relationsh.)
John Chickering wh. was the physician. For his third w. this
John of C. took, 22 June 1668, Mary Bridge, wh. d. Oct. 1678. In
spite of his five ws. he liv. to ripe age, for in 1679 he was call. 46 yrs.
old, and his fourth w. 52; and his will, made 28 Nov. 1701, was pro. 13
Dec. 1714. JOHN, Lynn, had Martha, b. 11 Aug. 1657. JOHN,
Northampton, freem. 1676. JOHN, Charlestown, not s. of John of the
same. by w. Persis had Persis, bapt. 2 May 1669, d. young; Mary, 31
July 1670; Persis, again, 17 Mar. 1672; John, 23 Nov. 1673; Samuel,
12 Sept. 1675; perhaps sev. more, and some of these may belong to the
other John of C. for, Mr. Wyman assures me, no John of C. had w.
Persis. JOHN, Newbury, eldest br. of Benjamin, m. 1 Jan. 1672, Rebecca,
d. of Rev. James Noyes, had James, b. 3 Sept. 1672; Rebecca,
27 Apr. 1674; John, 3 Apr. 1676; Sarah, 25 Feb. 1679; Elizabeth 13 Apr.
1681; Joseph, 9 Oct. 1683; and Nathaniel, 22 Dec. 1688. JOHN,
Woburn, not s. of the first John of Charlestown, m. 2 Mar. 1681, Abigail,
eldest ch. of John Craggin, had Abigail, b. 27 Dec. 1681; John, 31 Jan.
1684, d. next yr.; John, again, 3 Mar. 1686; Benjamin, 20 Mar. 1688, d.
under 10 yrs.; Samuel, 27 Sept. 1690; Ebenezer, 20 Aug. 1695; Rebecca,
14 May 1698; Benjamin, 20 Oct. 1700; and Amaziah, 14 Dec.
1703. JOHN, Dover, perhaps s. of Richard of the same, m. Leah, wid.
of Benedictus Tarr, it is said, but no more is kn. of him, exc. that his
inv. was brot. in 17 June 1700. JONATHAN, Salem 1670, m. prob. at
Woburn 31 Mar. 1663, Ruth Wright, and had Jonathan; Ebenezer;
Enos; Ruth; and Deborah; and he d. 17 Jan. 1683. He was prob. s.
of the first Philip. A John, with w. Mary, and Joseph, with w. Hannah,
early at Watertown, are ment. by Bond, but no issue is found in,
his vol. JOSEPH, Woburn, freem. 1652, had Sarah, b. 8 Mar. 1651;
Samuel, 8 Sept. 1652, d. next yr.; Hannah, 25 Mar. 1654; John, 16
Jan. 1656; Elizabeth 7 Apr. 1658; Mary, 6 June 1660, d. at 10 mos.;
Dinah, 4 July 1661; Samuel, again, 18 Mar. 1663; Mary, again, 12
Dec. 1672, d. in few mos.; Joseph, 12 Dec. 1673; Edward, 31 Aug.
1677; Isaac, 24 Feb. 1680, d. next mo.; James, 22 Apr. 1681, d. next
