sw. fidel. to Mass. 1674. JOHN, Hingham, came in Sept. 1635, freem.
13 Mar. 1639; rem. perhaps to Scituate; at least Deane makes him,
in Hist. 319, to be freem. of Plymouth Col. 1657, to have ch. then John
and Elnathan, afterwards Josiah and Bezaleel. JOHN, Charlestown,
perhaps came in the Elizabeth, 1634, from Ipswich, aged 24, was freem.
2 June 1641, and d. 24 Aug. 1677, aged 62, unless the gr.st. be wrong,
or misread. JOHN, Portsmouth, by Mr. Wentworth copied from list of
mem. of the ch. May 1640, but prob. many yrs. too early. He serv. in
Philip's war, then being inhab. of Hampton. JOHN, Boston, carpenter,
adm. townsman 30 Mar. 1640, perhaps rem. to Rowley 1647; or may
have been br. of Henry, and with him at Wethersfield, freem. 1657.
JOHN, Stonington, s. of Walter, prob. eldest, and by first w. b. in Eng.
of wh. no more is kn. JOHN, Fairfield, may have been first at Wethersfield,
and, perhaps, br. of Henry, freem. of Conn. 1657, had possib. been
many yrs. in trade to Virg. and may be was at Greenwich 1672. JOHN,
Scituate, s. of the first John of the same, had Elnathan, b. 1666; John,
1667; Hannah, 1671; Elizabeth 1673; Bezaleel, 1675; Experience, 1679;
and Samuel, 1683. JOHN, Pemaquid, with John, jr. perhaps his s. took
o. of fidel. to Mass. 1674. JOHN, Scarborough 1676, m. Elizabeth d. of
Andrew Alger, and rem. 1680, to Boston, and spent there the residue
of his life, says Southgate, 82. JOHN, Falmouth 1689, consult, by the
council of war for def. of that town 1689, was wound. 21 Sept.; had m.
Mary, d. of George Munjoy. JOHN, Boston 1689, took side against the
inhab. for rising against Andros, of whose council he had been, and was
suspect. to have come from Eng. just bef. with a commiss. to be ch. just.
Hutch. I. 371. JONAS, or JONATHAN, Rehoboth 1668, s. of Walter.
JOSEPH, Newbury, m. 18 Mar. 1665, Sarah, d. of James Jackman, had
Sarah, b. 5 dec. 1665; James, 18 Dec. 1667; and Joseph, 8 July
1670. He was youngest s. of William. His s. Joseph had at Newbury
two ws. and s. Joseph. JOSIAH, Scituate, s. of first John of the same,
had Josiah, b. 1685; Joshua, 1687; and Ruth. MICAH, Branford
1667, an orig. signer of the Plana. Covenant 20 Jan. 1668, freem.
1669. His will of 13 Nov. 1681, names ch. John, Daniel, Micah,
and others, Mr. Porter tells me, but names of those are not seen.
MOSES, Stronington 1658, s. of Walter, by w. Dorothy had Moses, b. 29
Oct. 1673; and John, 1 Sept. 1677; perhaps others bef. or aft. or both.
Bond says he m. Abigail, d. of Daniel Allen of Watertown. * NEHEMIAH,
Stonington, s. of Walter, m. 20 Nov. 1662, Hannah, d. of Thomas
Stanton, the younger, had Joseph, b. 1663; Elihu, 1665, d. soon; Jonathan,
1668; Daniel, 12 Nov. 1672; was a man of trust, rep. 1668 and
9, and d. 17 Feb. 1718, aged 80. NICHOLAS, Windsor, freem. 1669,
was an early sett. had Mary, b. 3 May 1637; Hannah, bapt. 11 Oct.
