name, was freem. 1691. He wrote his name Mirriam. Three had, in
1834, been gr. at Harv. and six at other N. E. coll.

1647, leav. John, and prob. wid. Elizabeth wh. sold est. there in 1649, to
Thomas Thaxter. JOHN, Boston, perhap s. of the preced. m. 3 Apr.
1655, Elizabeth d. of Thomas Wyborne, had Deborah, nam. in the will of her
gr.f. JOSEPH, Eastham, s. of William, m. 1 1684, Elizabeth Howes,
had Elizabeth b. l Jan. 1685; Mary, 7 July 1687; JOSEPH, 8 Mar. 1690;
William, 26 Jan. 1693; and Isaac, 12 Aug. 1699. STEPHEN, Eastham,
s. of William, m. 28 Dec. 1670, Mercy, d. of Edward Bangs, had
Stephen, b. 26 Mar. 1673. THOMAS, Springfield, tradit. said to have
come from Wales thro. Roxbury, and reach. S. in 1636; but there is evidence
that he was of Hartford early in 1638. He was very young, if he
left as is said, his native land in 1630; and no trace is seen at R. of him,
or of f. or moreO. br. or sis. nor can the name be found there bef. 1649. At
S. he m. 14 July 1639, Sarah, d. of Rowland Stebbins, wh. was the third
m. in that town, of any Eng. had Thomas, b. 12 Feb. 1641, the third b.
of the town rec. d. young; Sarah, 1643; Mary, 1645, d. soon; Mary,
1647; and Hannah, 10 Feb. 1650. In 1643 he m. Elizabeth Tilley, had
Elizabeth b. 1654, d. young; Miriam, 1656, d. at 28 yrs.; John, 1658; Elizabeth
again, 1661; Thomas, 1664; Tilley, 1667; James, 1670; and Abigail,
1673; was freem. 1665, and d. 7 Sept. 1704. Five of his ds. and four
s. were m. John, Thomas, and James liv. at John had 13 ch. of wh.
nine liv. and Jonathan, Y. C. 1725, was one of them; Thomas had seven
ch. and James seven, of wh. was Noah, Y. C. 1731, first min. of Wilbraham;
Tilley had one s. and four ds. liv. chiefly at Brookfield, but a.
1732, at S. WILLIAM, Duxbury, 1640, was one of the orig. proprs.
of Bridgewater, early rem. to Eastham, by w. Rebecca had William,
b. 15 Sept. 1643; Stephen, 12 Mar 1646; Rebecca, 28 July
1648; Mary, 4 Nov. 1650; Ruth, 15 May 1652; Sarah, 1 Aug. 1654;
John, 15 Jan. 1657; Isaac, 6 Jan. 1661; Joseph, 1 June 1662; and
Benjamin, 1 Feb. 1665; was an ens. and d. a. 1688. Mary m. 23 May,
1667, Stephen Hopkins. WILLIAM, Eastham, eldest s. of the preced.
m. 23 May 1667, Abigail, d. of Giles Hopkins, had Rebecca, b. 28 July
1668; and William, 1 Aug. 1670, and d. 20 Mar. foll. Of this name,
that is frequently giv. Mirrick or Myrick four had, in 1828, been gr. at
Harv. and three at Yale.
