name had been gr. at Harv. in 1834, and two at Bowd.

    MELLOWS or MELLHOUSE, ABRAHAM, Charlestown, adm. of the ch.
with w. Martha, and s. Edward in 1633, freem. 14 May 1634 d. as early
as 1639, leav. six ch. says Felt, and Frothingham asserts, that he
adventur. L50. in the comp. wh. I presume, means bef. com. from Eng.
His will was brot. into court in June 1639. EDWARD, Charlestown, s.
of the preced. b.in Eng. came prob. with his f. and mo. freem. 4 Mar.
1634, constable 1637; w. Hannah had Hannah, bapt. 22 Nov. 1636;
Mary, 21 July 1638; Martha, 26 Oct. 1640, wh. d. 25 Feb. 1643;
Edward; Elizabeth 5 Mar. 1644; and Abraham, 22 June 1645; was town
clk. and selectman five yrs. d. 5 May 1650, since wh. none of the name
is kn. at C. His wid. m. 24 June 1651, Joseph Hills. JOHN, Boston,
s. of Oliver, b. in Eng. by w. Martha had John, b. 8 Apr. 1647, d.
soon; Martha, 8 Feb. 1654; Elizabeth 15 Dec. 1656; Elisha, 16 Nov.
1659; Oliver, 3 Apr. 1662; Joseph, 6 Dec. 1664; Sarah, 16 Oct.
1667; Mary, 19 Mar. 1670; John, again, 5 Mar. 1676; and by w.
Sarah, had Elisha, again, 16 Mar. 1681; but perhaps there were two of
the same name (not discrim. by the rec.) to have these ch.; was freem.
1671, had gr. of ld. in the Stonington country. OLIVER, Boston 1634,
with w. Elizabeth adm. of our ch. 20 July freem. 3 Sept. foll. disarm. in
1637, as one of the support of Wheelwright, had Samuel, bapt. 7 Dec.
1634; Martha, 6 Mar. 1636; and Mary, 26 Aug. 1638; soon aft. d. at
Braintree, and there prob. had liv. His wid. m. 1640 or 1, Thomas
Makepeace of Dorchester
. Martha m. 13 Sept. 1655, Joseph Waters;
and Mary, same day, m. Emanuel Springfield.

    MELVILLE, DAVID, Barnstable 1691, merch. rem. to Eastham, there
by w. d. of Rev. Samuel Willard, had Thomas, b. 25 July, 1697;
Mary, 31 July 1699; Abigail and Elizabeth tw. 28 May 1702 ; and David
17 Oct. 1704.

    MELVIN, JOHN, Charlestown, by w. Hannah, wh. d. 27 May 1696,
aged 41, had John, b. 29 Aug. 1679, bapt. 13 Feb. 1681, the w. being
adm. of the ch. two wks. bef.; Hannah, 15, bapt. 21 Aug. 1681;
Robert, 13, bapt. 20 Jan. 1684; James, 20 Mar. 1686; Jonathan, 29
May, bapt. 3 June 1688; David, 29 Oct. bapt. 2 Nov. 1690; and Benjamin,
bapt. 24 Feb. 1695.

    MELYNE, MELYENE or MALINE, ISAAC, New Haven, br. of Jacob,
whose f. (always call. Mr. without name of bapt. as on list of those sw. to
fidel. 7 Apr. 1657) had prob. brot. them both from Holland or New
York; but this s. the last ment. is 1663, and whether he had w. and
fam. or not is unkn. It must be very easy to distinguish this fam. from
