discourag. at E. drawn to Boston, where he was inst. 9 Nov. 1655, first
min. of the sev. or N. ch. and Michael Powell ord. ruling. the same
day; dism. 1673, in advanc. age aft. hav. more than twenty-yrs. had
joint. serv. with Increase Mather, he went to Barnstable, there, and at
Eastham and Yarmouth liv. the short resid. of his days with one or ano.
ch. and d. at Y. May 1676, leav. wid. Thomasine, wh. d. 26 Feb. 1682,
but we kn. not whether she had heen his first w. in Eng. The agreem.

1 Jan. 1651, Hannah Reycraft, if Col. Rec. has the name right, had
John, b. 15 Dec. 1652; William, 7 Oct. 1654; James, 3 0ct. 1656, bef.
ment.; Samuel, 2 Aug. 1658; Elisha, 7 Nov. 1661; Daniel, 24 Jan.
1664, bef. ment.; Nathaniel, 2 Apr. 1667; Thomas, 24 June 1670, d.
soon; and Thomas, again, 15 July 1672. He d. a. 1706, the only s. wh.
outliv. the f. His will, of June 1702, was pro. 4 Nov. 1706. JOHN,
Roxbury, came in 1633, a young ch. brot. by Robert Gamblin, jr. as s.
of his w. by former h. m. 24 May 1654, Hannah, d. of John Graves,
had Hannah, b. 24 Apr. 1657, d. soon; John, 15, bapt. 20 Feb. 1659;
Hannah, again, 16, bapt. 24 Feb. 1661; Rebecca, 30 June, bapt. 3 July
1664, d. at 21 yrs.; Joseph, 11, bapt. 13 Jan. 1667; Mehitable, 6 Jan.
bapt. 28 Feb. 1669; Thomas, 16, bapt. 20 Nov. 1670; Benjamin, 29,
bapt. 31 Mar. 1672, d. in Oct. foll. as did also Thomas, the predeces.;
Thomas, again, 12, bapt. 16 Nov. 1673; yet the town rec. makes this
last b. 12 Dec. 1676. He d. 28 Apr. 1688, but his will of 9 Feb.
preced. was kept back until 11 June 1691, perhaps to avoid the Andros
jurisdict. upon pro. business. It names the w. Hannah, wh. d. 5 Oct.
1699, aged 63; and the five liv. ch. Hannah m. 2 Mar. 1680, Isaac
Morris; and Mehitable m. 23 July 1695, Thomas Thurston. JOHN,
Hingham, s. of the sec. John,[1] m. 14 Apr. 1681, Hannah, d. of maj. John
Freeman
, had Hannah, b. 8 Jan. 1682; Samuel, 16 July 1684; John;
Mercy, 23 Apr. 1688; Rebecca; Mary, 26 Oct. 1694, Joseph, 22 Dec.
1696; and a. 1700 rem. to Harwich, there had Elizabeth 1706; was rep. oft.
