it is, that one of the name there liv. and d. by his will, made in 1721,
tho. not pro. until a long time aft. ment. these ch. with others, John,
Benjamin, Mary, and Abigail. EDWARD, Warwick, by w. Mary had
Edward, b. 10 Apr. 1658; John, 12 May 1660; Thomas, 1 Mar. 1663;
Mary, 1 July 1666; Charles, 28 June 1668; and Martha, 16 Mar.
1670. EDWARD, Reading, by Mr. Eaton numb. among early sett. may
be the same who was freem. at Malden, 1690. ELIAKIM, Boston, s. of
Thomas the shoemaker, rem. to Stratford, and in 1665, sold his est. in B.
but came back in few yrs. was of Lothrop's comp. in Philip's war, and k.
at Bloody brook, 18 Sept. 1675. ELIAKIM, Windsor, fi. of capt. Samuel,
m. 23 Aug. 1704, Sarah Liet of Guilford, if that be correct name in Stiles,
1693, had Dorothy, b. 1 Oct. 1705; Sarah, 27 June 1709, prob. d. soon;
Sarah, again, 29 Jan. 1711; Mary, 14.Mar. 1715; and Eliakim, 15
July 1720, d. in few days. FRANCIS, Boston, master mariner, came in
the Christian from London, 1635, aged 30, was liv. in 1659. JAMES,
Windsor 1640, was from Exeter, in Devon, did not long cont. and, per
haps, was the man, expect. in vain, to sett. at New Haven 1643, where
his est. was val. at £1,000, his fam. of five heads, and his lot, transf. to
Richard Mansfield. He sold his W. est. and may be that "rich merch."
referred to in Winthrop I. 150. JOEL, Hartford 1682, perhaps s. of
Thomas of the same. JOHN, Duxbury, had been of Leahorn, in Co.
Kent, s. and heir of Sybil Marshall, by wh. descript. in Nov. 1631, he
enters into contr. of m. with Mary, eldest d. of Rev. Ralph Partridge of
Sutton
, near Dover, to wh. and his br. Jervase P. citizen and cordwainer
of Lond. as trust. he made convey. of est. in Co. Kent, as
jointure of his w. if she outliv. him. This instr. with a bond in the
penal sum of £200 to secure, &c. are rec. in Vol. III. of our Suf'k.
Reg. of Deeds; but it is curious, that these docum. were not rec. here
bef. Jan. 1661, some yrs. aft. a. of the Rev. Ralph, wh. in his will
notices Robert and John, s. of his d. Mary M. JOHN, Providence
1639. JOHN, Boston, came, perhaps, in the Hopewell, capt. Babb, from
London 1635, aged 14, by w. Sarah had John, b. 10 Dec. 1645; Thomas,
11 May 1656; Benjamin, 15 Feb. 1661; and Christopher, 18 Aug.
1664. JOHN, Billerica 1659, freem. 1683, had John, wh. was prob. the
freem. at Billerica 1690. JOHN, Boston, a mariner from Barnstaple,
Co. Devon, d. 1662; and his br. Thomas of Alwington, in Devon,
took admin. of his est. in Eng. and in 1670, claim. and obt. the
assets from John Sweete, who was admor. here. JOHN, Boston,
call. 'a Scottishman,' by w. Ruth had James, b. 29 Sept. 1659;
