of Richard, a mariner, d. in Eng. 19 May 1717, leav. wid. Mary. RICHARD,
Boston 1664, merch. s. of Richard of Frampton, Co. Dorset, Eng.
came from Bristol, had liv. first at Hingham, there m. Frances, d. of
William Hersey, 29 May 1656, and had John, b. 26 Nov. 1657; and
others; but rem. to Salem, there had Sarah, 3, bapt. 18 Feb. 1666;
William, b. 9 Feb. 1668; Hannah, 14 Nov. 1671; and John, again,
20 Feb. 1673. He was licensed, 1678, to keep an inn, d. 1689,
aged 61, leav. w. Frances, and ch. Hannah, Richard, William, John,
Judith, and Sarah. His d. Judith m. Joseph Neal, and d. bef. her f.

    CROAKHAM, CROWKHAM or CROCUM, FRANCIS, Boston 1663, m.
wid. Joan Waller; to whose s. Thomas he gave his est. d. a. 1669. By
Joan he had Hannah, b. 15 Feb. 1657, prob. d. young. JOHN, Boston,
m. Rebecca, d. of Abraham Josselyn, d. Dec. 1678, without issue. His
wid. m. Thomas Harris next yr.

    CROCKER, DANIEL, Salem, d. prob. Nov. 1681, for 29 of that mo.
inv. was brot. by his wid. of the slender est. of 19s. 9d. DANIEL, Boston,
m. 30 Nov. 1660, Sarah Baldwin, d. at Marshfield, 5 Feb. 1692.
EDWARD, Boston, was the publ. executioner 1684. In July 3 1690
Edward of Salem, perhaps his s. was k. by the Ind. at Casco or
Falmouth. ELEAZER, Barnstable, s. of William, m. 7 Apr. 1682
(if the rec. is correct), Ruth, d. of John Chipman, wh. d. 8 Apr.
1698, had Benoni, b. 13 May 1682, d. at 19 yrs.; Bethia, 23 Sept.
1683; Nathan, 27 Apr. 1685; Daniel, 23 Mar. 1687; Sarah, 23 Mar.
1689; Theophilus, 11 Mar. 1691; Eleazer; and Ruth, tw. 3 Aug.
1693; Abel, 15 June 1695; and Rebecca, 10 Dec. 1697. FRANCIS,
Barnstable 1643, of age to bear arms. His w. d. Mar. 1693 at Marshfield.
JOB, Barnstable, s. of William, was deac. and d. Mar. 1719, says
Hamblin, m. Nov. 1668, Mary Walley, perhaps d. of Rev. Thomas, had
a s. b. 18 Oct. 1669, d. soon; Samuel, 15 May 1671; Thomas, 19 Jan.
1674. By sec. w. m. 19 July 1680, Hannah, d. of Richard Taylor, wh.
d. 14 May 1743, aged 85, had Mary, 29 June 1681; John, 24 Feb.
1683; both bapt. 16 (not 17, as print.) Sept. of this yr.; Hannah, 2 Feb.
1685; Elizabeth 15 May 1688; Sarah, 19 Jan. 1690, bapt. 22 Mar. 1691;
Job, 4, bapt. 29 Apr. 1694; David, 5 Sept. bapt. 10 Oct. 1697; and
Thankful, 16 June 1700. JOHN, Scituate 1636, had William, b. 1637;
Elizabeth 1639; Samuel, 1642; Job, 1644; Josiah, 1647; Eleazer, 1650;
and Joseph, 1654; rem. prob. to Barnstable. Deane. But one of necessity
distrusts the names and dates of all these ch. exc. the first, bec. they so
wonderfully concur with those of his br. William's ch. and in his will of
10 Feb. 1669, I find good reason, for he gives to his w. Joan, and to six
ch. of his br. William, viz. John, Job, Samuel, Josiah, Elisha, and Joseph;
made Job, excor. and names no ch. of his own. JOHN, Barnstable, s. of
William, m. Nov. 1659, Mary Bodfish, perhaps d. of Robert, had Elizabeth
b. 7 Oct. 1660; Jonathan, 15 July 1662, and his w. d. Dec. foll. He m.
next, 25 Apr. Mary Bursley, d. of the first John, had John, b. 17 Feb.
