Andrew, scottow, and Nathaniel. ARTHUR, Salem, freem. 13 May
1640, had bef. been at Hampton, rem. 1643 to Boston, by w. Sarah had
Sarah, bapt. 17 Mar. 1644, seven days old; and Samuel, 1 Nov. 1646.
He d. 1665, prob. for on 31 Oct. of that yr. his wid. took admin. of his
small est. in behalf of hers. and s. BENJAMIN, Medfield, freem. 1682.
BRAY, or BRIAN, Dorchester 1630, acc. Dr. Harris, but first ment. on
town rec. 1634. CAREW, Newport, eldest br. of famous John of the
same, was b. 3 Feb. 1603, it is said, in Co. Bedford, had not u. perhaps,
certain. no ch. in our country, to wh. he is brot. in comp. with his brs.
tradit. in 1638. CHRISTOPHER, Boston 1646, mariner, by w. Rebecca,
wh. join. our cb. 25 Dec. 1647, had Dorothy, b. 6, bapt. 20 Jan. 1650;
John, b. 3 Feb. 1652; Peter, 4, bapt. 11 June 1654; Rebecca, b. 4
May 1657; Christopher, 19 Jan. bapt. 19 Feb. 1660; Daniel, b. 10
Feb. as the town rec. tells, wh. may be disbeliev. as he was bapt. 26 Jan.
1662; Elizabeth b. 4 Aug. 1663; and Mary, or Mercy, 1 Mar. 1667. He
was freem. 1673, a merch. often voyag. betw. Eng. and our country, in
one of his pass. was in the Speedwell, emb. at London, 30 May, and
land. at B. 27 July 1656. His youngest d. m. 1 Dec. 1686, Stephen
Minot. CHRISTOPHER, Salem, mariner, lost at sea a. 1698, as Felt, II.
244, tells, was, perhaps, s. of the preced. DANIEL, Ipswich 1635, Topsfield
1661, had Eliz. wh. m. 24 Oct. 1669, William Perkins of the same.

h. he was nam. excor. 1644. of his will, m. 13 June of that yr. Mary, d.
of Thomas Newberry, had Mary, b. 4 Apr. 1645, d. young; Josiah, 21
Jan. 1649; Elizabeth 28 Oct. 1651; Daniel, 10 Apr. (as Goodwin says), or 14
April 1654, as ano. rec. reads; John, 10 Apr. 1656; Mary, again, 22
Sept. 1658; Samuel, 6 July 1661; Sarah, 7 Aug. 1663; Hannah, 25
or 29 Aug. 1665, d. soon; and Nathaniel, 8 Sept. 1666, wh. was k. by
the Ind. unm. 1690. His w. d. 29 Aug. 1688, and his sec. w. Martha,
sis. of William Pitkin, wid. of Simon Wolcott, and mo. of Roger W.
Gov. of the Col. d. 13 Oct. 1719. He was rep. 1657-61, secr. of the
Col. 1638-63, Assist. 1662-4, capt. of the cavalry troop 1664, and at
his d. 12 Aug. 1710, aged 87, left Josiah, Elizabeth Daniel, John, Mary,
Samuel, and Sarah. Elizabeth m. 25 Nov. 1669, Moses Cooke of Northampton,
and, next, 13 Sept. 1677, Job Drake of Windsor; Mary m. 13
Dec. 1683, John Gaylord, jr. (if Goodwin is right), when she would
have been 25 yrs. old, and he less than 17; and she next m. a. 1700,
Jedediah Watson, and d. 14 Apr. 1738; and Sarah m. a. 1685, Isaac
Pinney, and had a sec. h. DANIEL, Hartford, s. of the preced. m. 1678,
Hannah, d. of Daniel Pratt, had Daniel, b. 1679; Moses, 1683; John,
1685; perhaps all at Windsor, but at H. had Aaron, bapt. 13 Nov.
1687; Nathaniel, 26 Mar. 1693; Abraham, 10 Nov. 1695; and
Noah, 25 Apr. 1697; and after 1710 he rem. to Colchester.
