    BUMSTEAD, EDWARD, Boaton, freem. 13 May 1640, had Joseph, b.
1653. JEREMIAH, Boston, s. of Thomas, b. in Eng. by w. Hannah had
Hannah, b. 24 Nov. 1664; Thomas, 22 Feb. 1667; Mary, 30 May 1668;
Jeremiah, 25 Nov. 1670; and Sarah, 8 Sept. 1674. By sec. w. Sarah, he
had Sarah, 15 Aug. 1676; Jeremiah, 14 Oct. 1678; Abigail, 4 Nov. 1683;
and Abigail, again, 12 Feb. 1685, beside Thomas, 1 Feb. 1687; d. 27 Feb.
1709, aged 72. ║ THOMAS, Roxbury, as says the ch rec. "came to this ld.
July 1640, brot. two small ch. Thomas, and Jeremiah," and adds, "his
d. Hannah, b. 25 Jan. 1641," tho., town rec. has it, 20 Jan 1639. By w.
Susanna he had Mary, bapt. at R. 24 Apr. 1642, and rem. to Boston,
there had Joseph, bapt. 24 Nov. 1644, "a. 7 days old;" Mercy, 20 Jan.
1650; and Joseph, again, 23 Oct. 1653; was of ar. co. 1647, and d. 22
June 1677. Winthrop in his Hist. II. 203, ment. remark. preserv. of the
life of one of his ch. His will of 25 May bef. his d. names ch Jeremy;
Hannah, wh. m. 18 Apr. 1659, Thomas Shearer, or Sherwood; Mary,

    BUNCE, THOMAS, Hartford 1636, serv. next yr. in the Pequot war,
had, prob. by a d. of capt. Thomas Bull, under wh. he had act. in that
war, ch. Thomas; John; Sarah, wh. n. John White of Hatfield, and,
next, Nicholas Worthington; Mary, b. 17 Sept. 1645, wh. m. Thomas
Meakins of Hatfield, and, next, John Downing; and Elizabeth wh. m. Jacob
White of Hartford, br. of John bef. nam.

    BUNDY, JOHN, Plymouth 1643, rem. to Boston, by w. Martha had
Martha, b. 2 Nov. 1649; and Mary, 5 Oct. 1653. He liv. after, prob.
at Taunton, there his d. Patience d. 27 Mar. 1665; and he had James,
29 Dec. 1664; and Sarah, 4 Mar. 1669. His w. d. 1 May 1674; and
Mary m. 5 Jan. preced. unless the better date be 1675. JOHN, Taunton,
s. perhaps, of the preced. m. 9 Jan. 1677, Ruth Surney of Mendham
(unless so strange a name be writ. for Turney), had John, b. 6 Oct. foll.;
Joseph, 1 Jan. 1680; and Edward, 13 Aug. 1681. SAMUEL, Taunton,
perhaps br. of the preced. had Samuel, b. 4 Oct. 1670.

    BUNKER, BENJAMIN, Malden, s. of George, ord. 9 Dec. 1663, d. 2
Feb. 1670. That he well fill. his post of duty, tho. never m. (as seems
to be essential to the charact. of a N. E. min.) we may be confid. for the
long and lamenta. verses of his senior collea. Michael Wigglesworth,
reveal no tendency to fiction. GEORGE, Charlestown 1634, freem. 4
