admin. on King's est. gr. 2 June 1660, and she d. 24 Aug. 1658; and
he next m. 12 or 22 July 1660, Mary, wid. of William Gott. His
s. Nathaniel and John went to Southampton on L. I. Mr. Felt says.
RICHARD, Plymouth, was unhapp. m. 5 Dec. 1644, to Alice wid. of George
Clark
, and she was hang. Oct. 1648 for murder of Martha Clark her
ch. SAMUEL, Boston, s. of Nathaniel of the same, or perhaps of Thomas,
was gr. H. C. 1665; and mark. as d. 1687 by the latest catal. yet in an
earlier one, was said to d. 1703. SAMUEL, Bradford, s. of Thomas of
Ipswich, by w. Esther had John, wh. was a physician at Medford;
and d. Mar. 1681. SAMUEL, New Haven, sec. s. of James the first,
m. 14 Nov. 1695, Hannah, wid. prob. of Enos Talmage, had Hannah,
b. 3 Sept. 1696; Samuel, 18 July 1698; Ann, 25 June 1700; Job, 6
Mar. 1702; and Elizabeth 16 Apr. 1704. His w. d. 10 Feb. 1744, and
he d. 12 Mar. 1748. STEPHEN, Guilford 1650, s. of John first of the
same, b. in Eng. m. 4 May 1654, Tabitha Wilkinson, had Stephen, b. 20
Dec. 1655; Tabitha, 14 Sept. 1657; Caleb, 24 Jan. 1660; David, 8
Dec. 1663, d. young; Mehitable, 12 Sept. 1668; Hannah, 27 Mar.
1671, d. young; Josiah, 20 Mar. 1674, d. young; Ebenezer, 5 Aug.
1675; and James, 18 Aug. 1678. He d. 1 Aug. 1690, and his wid. d.
21 Dec. 1692, the six liv. ch. being all nam. in the wills of both f. and
mo. Tabitha m. Nathaniel Foote; and Mehitable m. 1704, John Whitehead.
THOMAS, Ipswich 1636, was perhaps br. of Nathaniel, rep.
1666, d. 7 Feb. 1671, leav. wid. Margaret, wh. rem. to Boston, and ch.
Samuel, John, Thomas, Job, and Nathaniel, with large est. THOMAS,
Salem, s. of Richard of the same, had Richard, but Felt could give no
date. THOMAS, Roxbury, by w. Prudence, wh. d. 8 Oct. 1680, by ch.
rec. but 11 by town rec. had Thomas, b. 30 Sept. bapt. 3 Oct. preced.
and ano. w. E:liz. was bur. 11 Dec. 1681; and he m. 7 June 1683, Ann,
or Hannah Gary, wh. d. 16 Sept. 1691, and he d. 29 June 1727, aged
81 by the gr.stone. Perhaps he was s. of the first Thomas. TOWNSEND,
Salem, freem. 2 Sept. 1635, rep. 1636, 7 and 40, had Leah, bapt.
19 June 1637; and John, 31 July 1642; but was censur. in 1645 for
slighting that ordin. Of this name, in 1833, had been gr. seven at Yale,
and seven at other N. E. coll.

    BISS, JAMES, Boston, by w. Jemima had Martha, b. 23 Feb. 1668.

    BISSELL, BENJAMIN, Windsor, s. of Thomas of the same, d. 5 May
1698, leav. good est. with wid. Abigail, wh. is thot. to have been d. of
Thomas Allyn, and to have m. as his sec. w. after d. of Bissell, Rev.
John Williams of Deerfield. JACOB, Simsbury, s. of Samuel of Windsor,
had w. Mary, and s. Jacob, b. 8 June 1694, wh. d. at 16 yrs. and
the f. d. 1 Aug. 1694. His wid. m. 1698, Peter Buell. JOHN, Windsor
1639, the progenit. of many disting. men, is said to have come
from Eng. with Rev. Ephraim Mewett, was rep. 1648-57, and
d. 3 Oct. 1677, aged 85, had John, Thomas, Samuel, Nathaniel,
Mary, and Joice, of wh. Nathaniel, b. 24, bapt. 27 Sept. 1640,
was perhaps the only one b. on our side of the ocean. His w. d.
