    "Lieutenant Enos Talmage. He was born at New Haven, Conn., October 4, 1656, and married Hannah Yale, daughter of Thomas Yale, May 9, 1682. He is in Bradley's list of proprietors of New Haven, 1685, and went to the defense of Schenectady in command of the assistance sent by Connecticut, and was killed in the burning of the town, February 9, 1690, by the Indians."
