13. Sarah Doughty (daughter of Elias Doughty and Sarah, his wife), born at Flushing, Queens County, New York, about 1680; married at Flushing, Queens County, New York, 1718, John Embree. Child:

25. Palmer Doughty (second child of Francis Doughty and Mary Palmer), removed about 1715 to Rye, New York.

Various deeds to him are on record 1715 to 1731, of lands at Rye, New Rochelle and Eastchester, all in Westchester County, New York. He was Ensign of Militia 1722, Westchester County. 1734, He appears to live again at Flushing. He married Sarah _____.

26. Francis Doughty (son of Francis Doughty and Mary Palmer), born in Flushing, Queens County, New York, December 20, 1691. He lived at Rye, Westchester County, New York. His will is recorded in New York City, dated 6 May, 1756, and proved the 12 of March, 1761. In it Francis Doughty of Rye, Westchester County, New York, devises his estate, mentioning only his son John, to whom he gives house, lands, etc., and ap- points him executor, and second his daughter Elizabeth, wife of Jonathan Miller.

Bolton's History of Westchester County, says: "Francis Doughty of Rye, 1756, was father of John Doughty, Esq., and grandfather of Hon. John Doughty. General George S. Doughty of West Farms and New York City was one of the sons of the latter John." Children:

71 ii. Elizabeth, b. probably 1720, m. Jonathan Miller.

29. Obediah Doughty (son of Francis Doughty and Mary Palmer), was born in Flushing, Queens County, New York, Jan- uary 20, 1698; married Mary Way of Newtown, New York. He was a house carpenter at Flushing. He died in 1764, March 12. She died in 1767. Will proved December 8. The wills mention no children. Child:

72 i. Obediah, b. in Flushing, N. Y., Oct. 30, 1735. Probably d. early.

31. Thomas Doughty (son of Francis Doughty and Mary Palmer), born in Flushing, Queens County, New York, December 8, 1701. Children:

35. Elias Doughty (son of Elias Doughty and Elizabeth Hindh- man), born in Flushing, Queens County, New York; married in Flushing, Queens County, New York, Mary Ismond. They lived at Flushing, New York, where he died May, 1777. His will is on record in New York City. Children:
