Conrad Weiser received two warrants [Lots No. 2 & 3] in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, patents dated 15 Aug. 1751 & 6 Feb. 1752. [Internal Affairs Montly Bulletin, Vol. 22/No. 6/7, May-June 1954, Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pa.].

Land Disposition

This Indenture Made the twenty Seventh Day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Two BETWEEN Conrad Weiser of the Township of Heidelberg in the County of Berks in the Province of Pennsylvania Esquire and Ann Eve his Wife of the one part AND Conrad Bower of Reading in the County and Province aforesaid Inn holder of the other part WITNESSETH that the Said Conrad Weiser and Ann Eve his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Pounds lawfull Money of Pennsylvania to them paid by the said Conrad Bower the Receipt of which Fifty Pounds is hereby acknowledged and him the said Conrad Bower his Heirs and Assigns thereof Acquited and forever Discharged by these presents HAVE granted bargained sold Aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents DO grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said Conrad Bower [in his actuall and Peaceable Possession now being] and to his Heirs and Assigns A CERTAIN peice of {ground} Situate in the Town of Reading aforesaid Containing in <> breadth East and West Thirty feet and in Length or depth Two Hundred and Thirty feet Bounded Eastward by a lot of ground in the plan of the said Town of Reading mark'd No. 4 granted to the Said Conrad Bower Southward by Penn Street Westward by other ground of the Said Conrad Weiser's and Northward by a Twenty foot Alley [IT IS one Moiety and the Eastern part of the lot <> of ground in the Plan of the said Town Reading mark'd No. 3 which the Honourable Thomas Penn and Richard Penn Esquires Proprietaries of the Said Province &tc by Indenture bearing date the Sixth Day of February last past under the great Seal of the Said Province Recorded at Philadelphia in Patent Book A vol. 16 page 120 &tc the 14th day of February last past did grant release and Confirm unto the Said Conrad Weiser his Heirs and Assigns forever YIELDING and PAYING unto the Said Proprietaries their Heirs and Successors at the City of Philadelphia on the first Day of March in every Year the Yearly Rent of Seven Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain &tc.]
TOGETHER allso with all and Singular the Improvements Houses out Houses Yards Gardens Orchards Wayes Waters Water Courses Alleys Passages Rights Liberties Priviledges Comodities Profits Advantages Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said one Moeity of the Said Lot of ground belonging or in any wise Appertaining and the Reversions and Remainders thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the Said Thirty feet of Ground by Two Hundred and Thirty feet afore described hereditaments and Premises hereby granted bargained and Sold with the Appurtenances unto the Said Conrad Bower his Heirs and Assigns To the only proper use and behoof of the Said Conrad bower his Heirs and Assigns forever UNDER the Yearly Rent of Three Shillings and Six pence Sterling It being one moeity or half part of the above mentioned Yearly Rent of Seven Shillings Sterling reserved by the Said Recited Indenture as the same Shall hereafter become or grow due and Payable unto the Said Proprietaries their Heirs and Successors AND SUBJECT to all and Singular the Covenants Conditions Provisoes Reservations Limitations Restrictions and Agreements mentioned Contained Comprized and Expressed in the Said Indenture So far only as concerns the piece of ground hereby granted AND the Said Conrad Weiser doth Covenant for himself and his Heirs that he and his Heirs the Said described Piece of ground Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted bargained and Sold or mentioned or intended So to be with their Appurtenances unto the Said Conrad Bower his Heirs and Assigns against him the Said Conrad Weiser and his heirs and against the Said Ann Eve his Wife and against all and every other Person and Persons whomsoever Lawfully Claiming or to Claim by from or under him her them or any of them [Under and Subject to the Rent Covenants &tc. aforesaid] Shall and will WARRANT and forever Defend by these presents IN WITNESS whereof the Said Conrad Weiser and Ann Eve his Wife Parties to these presents have Interchanageably set their Hands and Seals hereunto Dated the Day and Year first above Written. ---
