Template:CategorySorted/doc

Template primarily meant for use in the description field of a Person-page fact, associated with an event that establishes the person in a particular category. Adds the Person page to the indicated category and creates an active link to the category. The template requires two parameters. The first being the name of the category to which the page is to be added. The second is a sort string for sequencing the page in the indicated category.

The description field string for Uriah Leach's military discharge is:

Discharged, {{CategorySorted|1st Maine Heavy Artillery (Civil War)|Leach, Uriah}}

Of course, this template may be used anywhere on a page, where it is desired to put the page in a particular category, and the active link to the category is the same as the actual page name of the category.
