Template:AdoptiveParents/doc

This template is used on a Person page to show that the person was adopted by a specific couple.

Note: If the person was adopted by only one member of the couple (e.g., a step-father), use the template AdoptiveParent instead.

Usage

Place the following on the Person page.

{{AdoptiveParents|FamilyPageName}}

where FamilyPageName is the simple page name (without the "Family:"), like "George Washington and Martha Dandridge (1)".

You should also add a corresponding "AdoptiveChild" template on the adoptive couple's Family page. That template usage should give the page name of the page you use this template on.

Suggested Placement

This template can be placed in the "Description" field of an "Adoption" event/fact or in the "Narrative" section.

Example

{{AdoptiveParents|George Washington and Martha Dandridge (1)}}

will appear as:

Adoptive parents: George Washington and Martha Dandridge (1)
