Template:AdoptiveParent/doc

This template is used on a Person page to show that the person was adopted by a specific other person.

Note: If the person was adopted by a couple, use the template AdoptiveParents instead.

Usage

Place the following on the Person page.

{{AdoptiveParent|PersonPageName}}

where PersonPageName is the simple page name (without the "Person:"), like "George Washington (6)".

You should also add a corresponding "AdoptiveChild" template on the adoptive parent's Person page. That template usage should give the page name of the page you use this template on.

Suggested Placement

This template can be placed in the "Description" field of an "Adoption" event/fact or in the "Narrative" section.

Example

will appear as:

Adoptive parent: George Washington (6)
