1. Caroline Melvina Gilcrest; Born August 14th, 1848, in Summit County, Ohio. Married Frederick Schnee, December 1st, 1870. Mr. Schnee was born April 30th, 1848 in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. He was prominent in his profession as teacher, and was Superintendent of the schools of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for twenty-one years. He died in Akron, Ohio, December 27th, 1919.

1. Robert Gilcrest Schnee; Born January 16th, 1872, in Summit County, Ohio. Married Amy F. Higgs in Cuyogoga [sic] Falls, Ohio, May 26th, 1897. Became a pharmacist and later entered medical practice in Cuyahoga Falls. Of later years, and at present, a physician specializing in pathology and bacteriology in Cleveland, Ohio.

(1) Vernon Higgs Schnee; Born March 24th, 1898, in Cleveland, Ohio. Second Lieutenant Coast Artillery in world war. Graduate Cornell University 1920. Chosen profession a Chemical Engineer.

2. John Thomas Schnee; Born October 30th, 1877, at Modadore, Ohio. For many years a celery farmer, but of these latter years in the lumber business at Millersburg, Ohio. Married Fannie Ripley, October 30th, 1901, at Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

II. Thomas Jefferson Gilcrest; Born August 11th, 1850, in Summit County, Ohio. Married Hannah Jane Brittain April 17th, 1873. He followed the occupation of his father in the milling business. He died December 25th, 1911, at Kenmore, O.

1. Alice Rebecca Gilcrest; Born April 18th, 1847 [sic? 1874?], in Summit County, Ohio.

2. Frederick Brittain Gilcrest; Born December 6th, 1876, in Summit County, Ohio.

3. Burtland, J. Gilcrest; Born September 14th, 1879, in Summit County, Ohio.

4. Otto Carroll Gilcrest; Born January 4th, 1887, in Summit County, Ohio.

5. Franklin Gilcrest; Born June 20th, 1888, in Summit County, Ohio.

III. Matilda Elizabeth Gilcrest; Born June 12th, 1853, in Summit County, Ohio. She was a very successful teacher. Married Benton H. Adams January 1st, 1879, at Springfield, Ohio. Mr. Adams was born in Portage County, Ohio, June 3rd, 1846, By occupation he was a skilled mechanic, in wood work. Mr. Adams died in 1922.

1884, at Akron, Ohio. Graduated at Akron University, and has been a teacher in the Akron schools for a number of years.

3. Mabel Adams; Born January 8th, 1886, at Akron, Ohio. A sales woman, and later a department manager and buyer in a large department store in Akron.

4. Carl Adams; Born April 6th, 1888, in Akron, Ohio. In the over-sea service one year. Since then in the cashier's office of the Goodyear Rubber Company.

5. George Edwin Adams; Born February 29th, 1892, at Akron, Ohio. Graduate of Akron High school. Two years in the Ohio State University, in Forestry. He was in the oversea service two years, and had since been in the recreation service in Ohio State University, at Columbus.

IV. Mary Alice Gilcrest; Born September 3rd, 1855, in Summit County, Ohio. Married Otto Miksch. She died November 8th, 1903, at Copley, Ohio.

1. Mary Miksch; Born in February, 1888. Married a man by the name of Tschantz.

(1) Ruth Tschantz.

2. Robert Miksch; Born in July, 1889. A graduate of Wesleyan University. He was over seas in the war, and is now a teacher and school superintendent. Is married.

3. Ralph Miksch; Born September 12th, 1890. Is married and has two children, - boys.

4. Ada Miksch; Born April 1st, 1892. Married Howard Hawkins. They have one child.

V. Robert Anson Gilcrest; Born May 3rd, 1860, at Akron, Ohio. Married Lula B. Holcomb, April 15th, 1885. Moved to Licking, Texas County, Missouri, in 1889 and engaged in the milling business. Lulu [sic?] died in 1890 leaving two children. In 1891 he married May E. Rice, at Licking, Missouri. He is now at Marine, Illinois, in the milling business; 1920. - Later. He died April 22, 1923.

2. Roscoe C. Gilcrest; Born October 7th, 1888, at Canton, Ohio.
