in Belmont County, Ohio. Married Martha Britton in Ohio. He was a teacher, merchant, hotel manager. He was for a number of years a general merchant in Princeton, Illinois. He was a suttler with the Federal army during the Civil War.

All born at Princeton, Illinois.

II. Sylvanus Fawcett; Born May 10th, 1831, in Belmont County, Ohio. Married Hannah Gifford, November 14th, 1868, at Colo, Iowa. He farmed in Iowa, and later, engaged in mining in California. At last report he was in Los Angeles County, California. He was almost entirely deaf the most of his life.

1. Alford Jefferson Fawcett; Born October 23d, 1869 at Colo, Iowa.

2. Edgar Arnold Fawcett; Born December 26th, 1871, at Colo Iowa.

3. Jane Etta Fawcett; Born October 5th, 1876, at Colo, Iowa.

I. William Henry Gilcrest, Born in 1843, at Cold Water, Michigan. Died there November 6th, 1876, of consumption.

II. Ella Jane Gilcrest; Born in 1849, at Cold Water, Michigan. Died there June 16th, 1851.
