1898 Holme Board School Entertainment

Not sure what the "Entertainment" was but quote: (p26)

In the week of rehersals for an entertainment, H Howard, A Marsden, J Hadfield and N Hogg were punished for trying to barricade the lobby doors to prevent the Master and Teachers from getting out. After the School entertainment, the Master and teachers provided all the children with a tea and social evening which they all enjoyed

will be given at 7 o'cclock prompt
