The American branches includes the descendants and relatives of four immigrants from England to the United States: (1) Thomas Holcomb(e) to Massachusetts about 1630; (2) John Holcomb(e), a Quaker, to Lambertville, New Jersey about 1700; (3) Jacob Holcomb(e), brother of John, to New Hope, Pennsylvania about 1700; and (4) Andrew Holcomb(e) to Barbados in 1687, and later immigrated to the United States. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and elsewhere.
