These seven censuses constitute the second collection of census records extracted by the compiler from the Papeles Procedentes de Cuba in the Archivo General de Indies (Seville, Spain). They date from the beginning of the Spanish regime in Louisiana until five years before the acquisition of the territory by the United States.
