This book is Vol. II of "The Acadians in France" series. See also Source pages for Vol. I and Vol. III.
It contains two sections:
- Belle-Isle-en-Mer Registers -- An attempt to record the ancestry and relationships of a group of Acadians who had been sent to Belle-Isle-en-Mer (a small island off the Breton coast) after being released from English internment camps following the Treaty of Paris (1763).
- La Rochette Papers -- A collection of ship lists enumerating the Acadians who returned to France from internment in England in 1763.
