Justification

This is an attempt to bring a little line in all the Roorda-Genealogies.

Base for "early-Roorda's are the "Stamboek van der Friesche Adel"( which might be not very reliable) and the Genealogies made by Simon Wierstra which seems to be the most reliable Genealogy.

The other Roorda trees on WeRelate are brought back to the 1811-naming and for Het Bildt, Menaldumadeel en Leeuwarden on the earliest records since 1811, an further back on the DTB-books on TRESOAR

Another valuable source for information is Friezen uit Vroeger Eeuwen (WeRelate: Friezen uit Vroeger Eeuwen) with Gravestones from early Frisians.

Before the French Rule, the Netherlands did not have a central registration of its population, which was introduced in some parts of the country in 1796 by the French.

In 1811, this registration was introduced throughout the country.

On www.tresoar.nl I found 42 people who took as last name "Roorda"

Unfortunately there are no registers for Het Bildt, Menaldumadeel en Leeuwarden.
