Irish Place pages [21 October 2018]

Given that places are identified on four levels, and Ireland has more than four, and given the 1900 rule, I would propose that Irish place pages be: Townland, Civil Parish, County, Ireland. While Poor Law Unions replaced the civil parish in 1898 as the local unit, many of the Irish geography sites, e.g. http://places.galwaylibrary.ie/, use the civil parish. Thus, Glinsk, a townland, is located in the civil parish of Ballynakill, County Galway, and so would be Glinsk, Ballynakill, Galway, Ireland.--Acurley 15:49, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
